One of the prestigious institutes, IIM-Ahmedabad has agreed upon to study the corruption in various government departments in Andhra Pradesh. In the line of the same, AP government has entered into an MOU to study the functioning of sub-registrar offices, village and ward secretariats and all other government departments to identify corruption and suggest measures to eradicate it. The dedicated team from IIM also would suggest some guidelines upon the observations. Speaking to the media Prof Sundaravalli of IIM-A stated that their team would submit a report to the State government by the third week of February after a detailed study from the grassroots level. But this is where the bone of contention is. There is no doubt that the prestigious organisation would sweat out for a genuine report, but will the government implement the suggestions with integrity? Will the Jagan-led government effectively utilisation the reports for the improvement in the quality of governance?
