Followed by the flash IT-raids on Kollywood’s Thalapathy Vijay over a month ago in connection with the tax evasions for his last film ‘Bigil’, Tamil Nadu local media claimed another roll of raids on the Neelankarai residence on Thursday. With a few of the social media websites reporting that a few of the IT-officials visited Vijay’s house, many of the concerned fans reached out to Vijay’s team and heaved a sigh of relieve after getting to know what really happened.
It was learnt that the Income Tax officials visited Thalapathy’s Neelankarai property to remove the seal placed on certain rooms and the lockers. While the IT-department placed a Prohibition Order on his residence, the officials reportedly came to clear a few of pending procedures as the actor came out clean from the tax evasion allegations. Sources in the department also stated that Vijay had paid the necessary taxes for the salaries that he had received for both ‘Bigil’ and ‘Master’.
It was known news that the actor who was shooting for his upcoming flick ‘Master’ at the Neyveli coal mines was reportedly asked to cancel his shoot to question him over the tax evasion allegations. Though the I-T department in its statement announced that nothing incriminating was found against actor Vijay, Tamil Nadu media reported that Rs 77 crore was seized from the residence of Anbu Chezhiyan, who had financed ‘Bigil’.
