With 43,893 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, India’s total caseload surge to 79,90,322 inching towards the 80-million mark. With 508 new deaths, the total death toll mounts to 1,20,010 while the Fatality Ratio (CFR) from Corona infection is lower than 1%.
As per the health bulletin released by Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, India’s active COVID-19 cases were at 6,10,803, while 72,59,509 people have recovered from the disease so far after a decrease of 15,054 from Tuesday morning.

Covid-19 tally in Andhra Pradesh increased to 8,11,825 as 2,901 infections were reported in the 24 hours ending Tuesday while 19 more casualties were logged taking the to 6,625. The total number of recoveries improved to 7,77,900 as another 4,352 patients were cured and discharged from Covid-19 hospitals across the state, leaving 27,300 active cases.
Telangana has recorded 1,482 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths in the last 24 hours, taking total cases to 2,34,152 said the State Health Department. The total number of cases includes 2,14,917 recoveries, 1,319 deaths and 17,916 active cases as of Wednesday.
