Seems like the statistics by the Andhra Pradesh School Education Department is mirroring the ground realities against the Jagan and team’s stubborn decision to re-open schools despite the increasing cases in the state.
In the line of the statistics, as many as 829 teachers and 575 students, all from government high schools, have tested positive for Covid-19 in the State ever since the schools reopened. However, it was the state the Education Commissioner V Chinna Veerabhadrudu’s reply that startled the teacher, parent and student welfare outfits.
When asked about any change in plans regarding reopening schools from November 23rd to classes below 9th, Veerabhadrudu. “It is too early to take any such decision. After observing the situation for a few more days, we will take an appropriate decision,” he said which came as a shock to many.
Amidst these inevitable conditions, teachers at Zilla Parishad school in Kakinada shift classrooms to our door and use Sarees as partitions. The authorities at the ZP school which has a student strength of 390 came up with this innovative idea which is now winning appreciation from other teachers and also parents.
