International Award for Kaleshwaram Project…!
Chief Minister KCR’s prestigious ‘Kaleshwaram’ project has achieved another rare milestone! Kaleshwaram project has received the most prestigious award on the world stage from the oldest and most prestigious American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) organization in the world. The Kaleshwaram project was recognized as an ‘Enduring Symbol of Engineering Progress’ and ASCE presented the award.
On behalf of the Telangana State Government, the Telangana IT & Industries Minister KTR received the award. Minister KTR addressed the World Environment and Water Resources Conference organized by the American Society of Civil Engineers in Henderson, Nevada, USA.
Minister KTR said that before the formation of the Telangana State, the Telangana region used to be a drought prone area due to lack of irrigation water. At the same time, he explained about the construction of the Kaleshwaram and Mission Bhagiratha projects were completed in a very short period after the formation of Telangana State. Minister KTR also explained how the wonderful changes have taken place in the Telangana State…with the construction of huge projects…He also said that now with all these changes and achievements…the Telangana State has become ‘Annapurna’ which provides rice to the country.
There is all-around applause and happiness over the Kaleshwaram project getting international recognition once again and receiving another international award. The social media is excited with the praises pouring in on the Telangana Chief Minister KCR. In addition to Minister KTR’s speech, all those people who have watched the documentary screened at the World Environmental and Water Resources Congress hailed Chief Minister KCR as ‘Apara Bhagirathudu’.
