Setting the IPL auction records straight, South African all-rounder Chris Morris stood as the most expensive IPL buy ever shelled out Rs 16.25 crore for Rajasthan Royals. When it comes to players from Telugu states, four cricketers, two each from Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh were roped in by the franchises.
While Bhagath Varma, Yudhvir Singh Charak, Marram Reddy Harishankar Reddy were unheralded players, the fourth Kona Srikar Bharat from Visakhapatnam has been one of the promising wicket keepers and attacking batsman.
