There is no doubt in stating that former team India captain MS Dhoni has turned into a synonym for IPL team Chennai Super Kings(CSK). Further continuing their affiliation with Mr.Cool, CSK confirmed its decision to retain Dhoni for the next three seasons. It can be noted that Dhoni is also the most successful captain in the history of IPL winning 116 matches out of 196 with a win percentage of 59.48.
Apart from Dhoni, the franchise has also reportedly decided to retain all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and opener Ruturaj Gaikwad. The paper also confirmed that CSK are in negotiations with England’s Moeen Ali as the fourth retention. His spin can come in handy in India where IPL 2022 will be played next year in April.
Notably, the franchises have to submit their lists of retained players by November 30 and there will be a mega auction after that with two new teams joining the league from the 2022 season.
