BJP MLA Raja Singh once again made strong comments on the issue of the Bholakpur corporator. Will the police ever book a case until and unless KTR tweets about it? He expressed angst. Further questioning the chances of actions taken against the corporator, Raja Singh also questioned about not booking a case against the man who had insulted the police authorities.
It all started when MIM corporator Gausuddin misbehaved with the police officers who approached the shops and hotels in the Bholakpur area at night to close them, the corporation misbehaved with the local police, denying them from doing their duties. He threatened the cops about keeping the shops open even at night during Ramadan season. On the other hand, the police stated that they were simply following the orders given by the higher authorities about keeping the streets shut down after a certain time period. Gausuddin further started using abusive words against the cops and alleged them of taking bribes and calling them cheap laborers.
The whole incident was secretly recorded on cell phones, and it went viral on social media platforms. Netizens strongly opposed it. It was against this backdrop that KTR became serious, and tweeted: How dare you resort to violence against the police? Superiors were ordered to take action against them immediately. An FIR was registered against Gausuddin. The case was filed under sections 353 and 506 of the IPC. The concerned officers have arrested him for misbehaving with the police. However, Raja Singh is incensed over booking the case only after KTR tweeted about it.
“Are there any directives from the state authorities about not arresting the MIM party members no matter what they do? Would the police be swayed if ordinary people said the same words to the police? Is law and order in the hands of KTR? Is it in the hands of the Home Minister?” Raja Singh asked. He questioned the authorities’ conduct for not filing a case against the corporator even after two days of the incident.
