Is the TRS government planning for early elections? KCR, who wants to foray into the politics of the country, will contest from where in the coming elections? as an MLA? or an MP? What was the decision taken during the private meetings with election strategist Prashant Kishore? Political observers are expressing many doubts about many such questions.
KCR has been making elusive decisions ever since the times of the Telangana movement. He always behaved in a way the opposition haven’t even imagined. However, the current situation is not favorable. That’s why there are criticisms that PK was brought into the fraternity. On the other hand, he has been trying to take advances regarding his entry into National politics. Will KCR contest as an MP at a time like this? Or get into the ring as an MLA? Everyone is interested. However, there is a strong argument that KCR will contest as an MLA. That too is not from the Gajwel that is currently being represented. It is expected that he will contest from the place he won from TDP, that is Siddipet. There is talk that KCR, who has won from Gajwel twice and is the Chief Minister, will leave this constituency and move to Siddipet.
KCR won the first MLA from Siddipet in 1985. He then contested for the Telugu Desam Party in 1985, 1989, and 1994 respectively, and won. He won the 2001 by-election for the first time on behalf of the TRS. Also won back in 2004. As the Telangana state movement intensified, he resigned from his position as an MLA and won the seat by fielding his son-in-law Harish Rao. However, KCR, who won as Mahabubnagar MP in 2009, won from Gajwel in 2014 and became the Chief Minister after a separate Telangana was possible. Competed from there again in 2018.
Analysts say PK has advised KCR to step down and contest from his old constituency of Siddipet in light of the current political situation. It is also expected that there will be a big plan behind this. When KCR returns to Siddipet, Harish, who has been an MLA for almost twenty years and has held several ministerial posts, is expected to be targeted by KCR. It is believed that Harish will be sent to Parliament this time and KCR is being described as having the idea of paving the way for KTR.
TRS is good in North Telangana but is facing some problems in South Telangana. Analysts say that KCR is formulating strategies to strengthen the TRS party. As part of that, it is expected that he has a chance to pick Manugodu as well. KCR is someone who can architect any number of strategies for the future of the party. He is ready to make any number of sacrifices to sustain power. There is no doubt about it. That is why analysts are predicting risky decisions this time around. All in all, there is an interesting debate going on in the political circles as KCR is exercising to contest from the new place in the upcoming elections. All we could do is wait and see the turns this is going to take in the coming times.
