Democratic Forum convener and former IAS officer Akunuri Murali has criticized that despite the increasing number of road accidents in Telangana, the Telangana government is not even bothered. Referring to the statistics of the report released by the Central Roads and Transport Department on Wednesday titled Road Accidents in India 2021, he lashed out at the KCR government.
Reacting through social media on Thursday, he said that the report says that 7,500 people die in road accidents every year in the state and 56,000 people died in the last 8 years. He alleged that CM KCR did not review this issue even for a single minute despite such a tragedy.
It is alleged that KCR sir does not have enough time to do politics and that is why he does not care how to reduce road accidents. He asked what is the condition of the families who are on the road due to road accidents and who care to comfort them.
According to the report released by the central government, Telangana is in the 8th position while AP is in the 7th position. According to the report, 21,315 accidents took place in Telangana in 2021, an increase of 2,143 accidents compared to 2020. The report clarified that the death rate has increased by 9.8 percent compared to 2020. Akunuri Murali questioned KCR that 7,557 people have died in Telangana road accidents and what is the condition of their families.
