Id at all you pay attention to KCR’s recent activities on dropping hints on the formation of the Third Front, especially, the back-to-back phone calls, direct meetings, photos with regional party leaders- all of this had happened before. Exactly 3 years back, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu did the same during the 2019 elections. Yes, now it looks like KCR is following the former boss. Analysts believe that KCR is turning his back against the center, Modi’s government just the way Chandrababu did during the 2019 elections.
Chandrababu then arranged so many public meetings and declared his fight as a ‘war of righteousness’ by forming a coalition. Now KCR has started on similar pages by holding meetings at Janagama, Bhuvanagiri, and Narayan Khed, where he declared on bringing down the Modi government. Analysts reveal that these three public meetings held by KCR are reminding them of the anti-Modi rallies held by Chandrababu in the 2019 elections. With each passing day, KCR is meeting more leaders of other states. By far, we have seen KCR communicating with the leaders on phone, and now, he is meeting the leaders of regional parties directly.
The much-awaited trip of KCR has happened. He went to Mumbai and met Thackeray and Sharad Pawar, adding that he would call the rest of them too. However, political pundits say that the photos and press meetings with the two of them are reminiscent of the old days. In the past, TDP national president Chandrababu also met key leaders of various states, took photos with them, and said that he would do things at the national level, and allied with the Congress party, which was an all-time opposition party to TDP. With all these confusing mergers, TDP eventually lost its grip in Telangana, eventually facing a landslide defeat in AP.
On a whole, it is clear that KCR wants to take a serious shot at National politics, just like Chandrababu. KCR’s motto of ‘Golden Telangana’ eventually transformed to ‘Golden India’. He is currently meeting regional party leaders with enthusiasm where the comments are heard that he is doing things the same way as the former boss. On social media, people are sharing pictures of KCR and Chandrababu meeting other leaders and commenting that fate will repeat. Like Chandrababu said that he was going to bring down Modi, KCR is now saying the exact same thing without mincing words.
Meanwhile, it is evident that KCR’s voice about Congress has changed quite a bit. He is seen defending Congress leader Rahul Gandhi when Assam CM Himanta made some distasteful remarks. Some believe that KCR reacted a bit more than the congress party leaders did to the remarks. However, the Shiv Sena MP decided that it was not possible to form a Third Front without Congress. Looking at this, the situation demands congress’ support to form a third front, and KCR might go for it, as Chandrababu did long back. On the other hand, it is assumed that KCR might be simply playing some tactics. He is currently assumed to be forming some unethical alliances for support, and spending crores of rupees for advertisements.
