Several promises were made during the elections campaigns- KG to PG free education, a Dream Project, such were the announcements made by the Telangana CM KCR. Years passed, but nothing really got materialized. No matter how much the opposition party leaders are criticizing, there is no right answer from the TRS regime. However, there are criticisms from educators that despite promising free education, the government is in fact depriving its youth of education.
The fee deadline for the latest Inter exams has been extended to the 21st of this month. But the notice particularly mentioned that they have to apply with a fine of Rs 5,000. This is definitely not a normal sum, even for the middle-class population of Telangana. Educators are of opinion that this is a serious burden on ordinary families. Considering they are not even able to afford the usual tuition fee, the government must understand what their financial situation is like. Levying a late fee of Rs 5000 on students like that is such a distasteful act. The conditions of such dire kind are actually depriving youth of Telangana of education.
There are allegations from the beginning that the Telangana youth are being kept away from education not only in this regard but also with a definite plan. Earlier, months back, some public schools were closed and as a result, many children forgot their schooling. After that degree colleges and engineering colleges were also closed. If you are thinking that the government has opened some new schools, well, that’s where you are wrong. Decisions like this, and the kind of ignorance the government has towards students are leaving the youth helpless.

A report from the RBI reveals that in the entire country, the Telangana government spends the lowest on educating its young population. Does this mean that all this is happening to keep the youth away from education? Educators are skeptical. The youth of the state are already suffering from unemployment issues. They are worried that a huge number of today’s young children might end up being unemployed, and the uneducated future of Telangana.
