Income tax department officials on Wednesday conducted flash raids on the properties of renowned producer Daggubati Suresh. According to the sources, the IT sleuths have been simultaneously carrying out searches at Rama Naidu Studio, Suresh Babu’s residence, productions offices and other properties from the wee hours of Wednesday.
The information has it that the officials have seized crucial documents pertaining to the bank transactions and are interrogating Suresh Babu regarding the same. It was reported that the officers split into four teams and conducted flash raids in various properties simultaneously. Searches are still going on.
While IT officials are saying it is related to movie production and distribution, they may also have to do with real estate or political angles also. Daggubati family is considered to be the cleanest when it comes to financials. The only time they got mired by the controversy was during the Tollywood drug case where the younger son was allegedly involved.
