As the nation was under the lockdown from March 9th, the top export industries, including luxury fashion and manufacturing units were badly hit while the economy plummeted gradually. Responding to the health emergency, Giorgio Armani, the fashion legend who was the first voluntarily shut down their businesses, donated about $1.4 million to hospitals in Milan and Rome. Followed by which, 17 other billionaires in the country raise up to $28 million towards hospitals, healthcare facilities and government agencies.
This has come as a tight slap to the global leaders who have been pondering upon their stocks and shares. Meanwhile, the netizens took a dig at the Indian billionaires who dusted their hands just by supporting PM’s call for Janata Curfew.
