Prakash Raj’s name has been buzzing in TRS for years. There is a lot of hype that he will be offered a big post. However, the name eventually disappeared from the limelight after no official announcements from Chief Minister KCR. It is quite surprising to see KCR, who turned to national politics and war on the center, suddenly became silent. While the opposition parties labeled KCR’s attempts to enter National politics as nothing beyond a temporary drama, KCR went on taking various decisions that gave mixed signals, however, in terms of actions, all he did was nothing but stay at the farmhouse and Pragathi Bhavan. Throughout the time KCR chanted about the country’s politics, the two names that topped the headlines of mainstream media were Prashant Kishore and Prakash Raj.
Putting aside the story of PK, Prakash Raj has become the topic of discussion at this point. It is well known that Prakash Raj took care of everything from the KCR landing in Mumbai, to boarding the flight in Mumbai for the return journey. After touring in Gajwel, many speculations came to the fore about the meeting that took place with PK. Some argued that he might contest for the Assembly seat of Gajwel, while others argued that he will be sent to the Rajya Sabha. It was in this context people believed that Prakash Raj would become the Center of Attraction at the plenary sessions. But it turned out that there is nothing of that sort with Prakash Raj, and KCR entirely sidelined him.
KCR’s plan was to bring the various political parties together at the national level and grow into a strong political force to fight against the Prime Minister Modi-led BJP party. It was during this sequence that KCR looked up to Prakash Raj’s help. He used PR to initiate discussions with national-level politicians. Prakash Raj is against BJP, and he is generally the first person who stands up against Modi’s name. It was in this context that the role of PR became crucial as KCR slammed Modi in the name of national politics. But now with the end of the KCR war on the Center, the news is coming that Prakash Raj’s role has been sidelined.

Another argument is also coming to the fore. Prakash Raj was also seen earlier with KCR at a lot many instances, only to disappear in days. So again, there are opinions that he has never had the opportunity to be part of Telangana politics and of any close ally to KCR. However, analysts are of opinion that his presence won’t matter much if it is based on convenience.
