While the political circles in the Telugu states are rife with speculations that things are not so well with KCR and Jagan, the latter made it obvious with his recent comments. Not many days after gracing the inauguration event of Telangana’s massive lift irrigation project Kaleshwaram, Jagan gave a shocker of sorts to his counterpart KCR. In an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court, Jagan-led Andhra Pradesh government has raised objections with the prestigious project. Claiming that the project was completely re-engineered, AP government demanded that the project should not be given national status. In the affidavit filed, the government also stated that the project across the Godavari river affected its irrigation interests.
Jagan and KCR had previously called for a long secluded meet over the linking Godavari and Krishna rivers to overcome water scarcity in parts of both the states. While these proposals are said to be put on halt, seems like both the leaders are now on their own plans. And now this affidavit has come to a clear indication that the two Chief Minister is no longer on the same terms.
