While the state is still battling the pandemic, political circles in Andhra Pradesh are rife with rumours that Jagan and his team are on the final leg of their plan to shift the capital from Amaravati. If the reports from Undavalli camp office are to be believed, the officials have fastened up the capital shift works despite the High Court orders.
Though the concerned HOD refused to respond to the reports, media from the past few days have been atop with rumours that Jagan-led government would soon shift their base to Visakhapatnam, probably after the lockdown phase. Adding strength to the arguments, the HODs were learnt to drop constant hints in the recent meetings held with secretariat unions to roll up the sleeves by the end of May. It was also learnt that MP Vijaysai Reddy has assured all the employees with sops during the meeting.
Meanwhile, there has been a strong rumour that an event was planned in Chief Minister schedule from 8 AM on the 28th of this month which triggered speculations that the auspicious is scheduled for starting the administration from the new capital. While a few of the TDP cadre also happened to support this argument, Jagan and his team are said to take utmost care that they don’t fall in judiciary eyes.
