Followed by his announcement that the state government would bring in a new law to ensure speedy trial and punishment in rape cases, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has been receiving overwhelming applause from across the country. He also announced the state government would take necessary measures to set up fast track courts in each district to deal with rape cases. Followed by which he went all praise for KCR the reported encounter of the accused in rape and murder of Disha. While the whole nation lauded the Hyderabad police, Commissioner Sajjanar in particular, Jagan’s direct reference to the state’s Chief Minister triggered debates in the political circles.
According to the details furnished by the department in the press meet, the encounter was a retaliation to the attack made by the accused and on an official note, the Chief Minister has nothing to do with this. But Jagan praising KCR regarding the same, inferred as if KCR and the department had a planned encounter. Will these statements made up Jagan that too in state assembly bring trouble for KCR and the police department who are already in a fix with the NHRC probe?
