The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday, gave the official nod to a roll of welfare schemes. Waiving the loans taken by the DWCRA women, YSR Vidya Kanuka scheme and Industrial Development Policy 2020-23 were the few crucial proposals finalised in Wednesday’s cabinet session.
The new policy Industrial Development Policy which will be in effect till 2023 was noted to ease of doing business, skill development, business enablement and fiscal incentives. The government stated that the policy will create more opportunities for SCs, STs and Women, in the industrial arena. The Cabinet also approved the proposal to set up an electronics park in Kadapa.
The cabinet has decided to waive off the loans taken by DWCRA women upto the tune of Rs 27,000 crore in the next four years. The government is set to launch YSR Sampoorna Poshana scheme on September 1 while the government is all set to open a whopping amount of Rs 1,863 crores for this scheme which will make sure that every mother and her child are getting all the nutrients into their system.
The cabinet also approved the ambitious YSR Vidya Kanuka scheme. Apart from this, the Cabinet also approved for the recruitment of 51 Divisional Development Officer posts in the Panchayati Raj Department. The cabinet meeting also addressed the water dispute going with the neighbouring Telangana government.
It can be noted that the apex council meeting is going to be held on the 25th of this month. The Cabinet also gave a green signal to the YSR Bima insurance scheme which was stalled by the central government and LIC was the nodal agency. The ongoing flood has to be managed in the state was also brought to discussion.
