It was considered as one of the states with comparatively less positive cases until it registered 17 news cases in the span of 12 hours. Andhra Pradesh government which has been facing criticism over downplaying the severity of the dreadful Coronavirus has once again hit the controversy button with its recent decision.
Following the footsteps of the neighbouring Telangana government, Andhra Pradesh state government has announced to cut down the next month’s salary for the government employees. Stating that the state has been facing financial crisis amidst the Corona lockdown, State employees association’s president K. R. Surya Narayana stated that all the employees will be disbursed salaries in two instalments.
Taking over the same, the union president stated that the government has been suffering a deficit of Rs 2 crores per day. In the line of the new decision taken by the state government, the employees will neither get a cut-off or a deduction towards donation but will get their salaries in two instalments. The decision was taken after an inclusive meeting held with the members of the state employee union who agreed to the government’s proposal.
