The Paritalas who have been claimed as the loyalists to TDP since its genesis are now in fix with a shocker from the Jagan-led government. Into the story, Narsannakotta Muthiyalamma Temple located in the Ramagiri mandal of Anantapur district has been under the supervision of the Paritala family from the past two generations. This temple has a footfall not only from the devotees of Telugu states but also from Karnataka with donations and income in crores. While the temple administration has been in the hands of the private committee constituted by Paritala family, speculation started making rounds that the committee is unofficially misusing the temple funds.
YSP MLA Topodurthi Prakash Reddy has raised the same issue and demanded the then government to take over the administration of the temple. And it finally happened as the Jagan-led government cancelled the private committee who has been managing the revenue and has taken over the temple authorities. The government also appointed a dedicated EO for the temple and issued all the necessary orders to the respective officials to set up a governing body. This has come as a chock to the Paritala family members who allegedly had the charge of the temple and the revenue.
