The video has been receiving a roll of backlash from the netizens who accused the Delhi police for attacking the innocent students. However, the Jamia university issued a statement, clarifying that it has not released any video and that JCC is not an official body of the university. “Any communication from JCC should not be taken as version of University,” said public relations officer at the University.
Meanwhile, another video claimed to be the prequel of the 48-second video popped up in a counter. The video was purportedly released by the Delhi Police in defence of the allegation over the department. This video shows a group of at least 50 people allegedly protesters running hurriedly into the library while some of them barricaded the door with huge tables.

While the previous video released by JCC sparked political storm, the new video which came in defence has now divided the netizens. Nevertheless, both Jamia students and a few of the Delhi police admitted that a number of local thugs have joined the protest on December 15th who were responsible for the meyhem.
