As a tight-fitting reply to the ruling BJP government against NRC and CAA, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) with its alliances Congress, RJD achieved a thumping victory in Jharkhand assembly elections. In the results announced by the Election Commission on Monday, JMM-Congress-RJD won the majority with leading 43 seats while BJP won in 27 constituencies. Hemant Soren, son of three-time chief minister Shibu Soren unanimously stood as the Chief Minister candidate who also stood as the face of the alliance.
Taking to the media post the victory, Hemanth Soren stated that a new chapter will begin for this state soon. “I want to assure everyone that their hopes will not be broken irrespective of their caste, creed, religion and profession,” he then paid a visit to his father to seek blessings. BJP’s Chief Minister Raghubar Das took responsibility for the defeat, stating that it was his defeat but not the BJP’s. This has come as a hard hit to ruling BJP after a humiliating defeat in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.
I thank the people of Jharkhand for having given @BJP4India the opportunity to serve the state for many years. I also applaud the hardworking Party Karyakartas for their efforts.
We will continue serving the state and raising people-centric issues in the times to come.

He also expressed his gratitude to the people of Jharkhand for giving the BJP a chance to govern the state for five years.
