In an incident which came as hard hit to the country’s democracy, leaders and celebrities have been standing against the ghastly attack on students and staff in Jawaharlal University on Sunday. While the nation’s capital is blazing with protests and agitations, the shocking videos during the attack shot by a few of the students are finding their way into the public sphere one after the other. The video and photos of bloodshed Aishe Ghosh, Students’ Union president being rushed to the hospital after she was beaten with iron rods by masked men chilled everyone who came across it.

Soon after which several videos showing the goons pelting stones and vandalised the property at the Sabarmati hostel surfaced. Shocking everyone the student also spotted women in the mob who covered their faces. Students in the campus claimed that a large mob had gathered outside the college gates heckling and refusing to allow any student to step out of the campus.

One of the videos showed the Delhi police who simply stood by the mob refusing to intervene. It was also seen that the street lights remained switched off. Many of the students who were attacked took to the social media alleging that the police and JNU authorities joined hands to take down the students who have been protesting against privatization of the university and abrupt fee hike.
