The uproar over Kamareddy’s master plan is still going on. Recently, the affected farmers of the Kamareddy Master Plan approached Telangana State HRC. Calling that the collector of Kamareddy, had wronged them, they demanded strict action against the police. They complained that they were lathi-charged during the protests against the master plan. If the farmers are fighting for their rights, this government is trying to suppress them with lathis, they alleged.
They revealed that they are not getting justice from the police and courts, that’s why they approached HRC. The affected farmers complain that neither the collector nor the authorities are paying attention to their pain.
District Collector, local public representatives, and Minister KTR have already reacted to the master plan dispute. He also promised to change the master plan so that no one gets injustice. But the farmers do not trust the leaders. As part of this, all the affected farmers approached the High Court. However, on the 11th of this month, the High Court, which heard the petition of the affected farmers, refused to grant a stay on the master plan.
It directed the state government to file a counter on this. The High Court has said that the matter of Kamareddy town planning is still not there. The High Court commented that India would have been better off if things had been going on as planned and that the Hyderabad and Warangal Master Plans had been vacillating for years. After that, the High Court adjourned the further hearing to the 25th of this month.
