We happen to travel hundreds of kilometres to catch a glimpse of Lord Shiva in various forms across the country. But did you travel with the Lord God by any chance?
It is to the known knowledge that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged-off the Kashi Mahakal Express on Sunday from Varanasi. Apart from being the first-ever train to connect three Jyotirlingas — Omkareshwar near Indore, Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain and Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, the train also has another added attraction, “Bhole Baba”. The Railways authorities have reserved a seat for Lord Mahakal (Lord Shiva) on board.
Seat number 64 of the coach B5 has been turned into a mini-temple in the fully 3-AC train which will run thrice a week between Varanasi and Indore. Though it was said to be only for the first trip of the train, trusted sources revealed that railway authorities are contemplating over keeping the berth as a permanent feature in the train. Talking to the media, Deepak Kumar, the Northern Railway spokesperson stated that they have decorated the side upper berth with flowers and framed photos of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga so that people can spot the reserved seat.
However, the move has been receiving criticism from other religion netizens who took to social media to condemn it. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi took to Twitter to express his disapproval tagging Prime Minister’s official page.
