The Delhi Liquor scam is causing a stir in New Delhi and Telangana. The BJP started agitations across the state on this matter and there was a tense situation. Police are making arrests everywhere. Bandi Sanjay was stopped and arrested while taking Dharma initiation. BJP leaders are worried about the arrests and attacks on their leaders. TRS leaders are also giving the same level of warning. They issued warnings not to get physical with them.
MLC Kavitha took the allegations made against her by the BJP leaders seriously and filed a complaint in 33 districts of Telangana. She filed a complaint against Delhi BJP leaders who accused her. BJP MP Parvesh Verma filed a defamation suit against former MLA Majumder Singh. BJP leaders are alleging that Kavitha is involved in the liquor scam. Responding to this, she declared that she had no relationship. But Delhi BJP leaders once again came forward to the media asking if there is no such fear, then why are they attacking and arresting their party leaders?
Sudhanshu Trivedi and Parvesh Verma, who spoke to the media in Delhi, once again got angry with Kavita. He said that he does not understand why Kavitha is afraid after hearing the allegations made about the people involved in the Delhi liquor scam. Bandi Sanjay asked why he was arrested if Kavitha is not so afraid. MP Parvesh replied to a reporter’s question- Is there evidence of Kavitha’s role in the liquor scam? He said that the CBI is inquiring into the allegations made by him against Kavitha and later the truth about who is involved will come out.
“Be it in the opposition or in the government, corruption is nothing new to BJP leaders, they are using CBI and ED,” said Kavitha, adding that the comments of the opposition parties are also not new. Aren’t the current opposition leaders in the Delhi Commonwealth Games scam, coal scam? she asked. It was explained that Maagunta Agrofarms Company of Telugu States also won the tender in Delhi Liquor Bidding. Kejriwal asked the government to tell why the commission given to wholesale (L1) liquor dealers was increased from 2 percent to 12 percent.
On the other hand, the Center has suspended two senior officials who are facing allegations of having links with the liquor scam. It issued orders suspending IAS officers Gopikrishna and Anand Kumar Tiwari.
