Politics in Telugu states at once heated with the party supremos queueing up to nations capital, of late. A couple of days after Telangana chief minister KCR visited Delhi for a three-day tour meeting BJP bigwigs, it is now Andhra CM Jagan’s turn.
While the appointment with Union Home Minister Amit Shah was confirmed, the CMO is yet to confirm the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Irrigation Minister Shekavat. As per the schedule, Jagan would reach the national capital at 4.15 pm and drive to his official residence at 1-Janpath.
Various pending issues like Polavaram funds and approving the modified AP Disha (Special Courts for Specified Offences against Women and Children) Bill 2020 are learnt to be the crucial points to be brought under discussion. Jagan’s visit, however, assumed significance while the judicial war between judges and CMO.
It is worth recalling that Telangana unit president Bandi Sanjay, and Congress senior leaders like Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar Babu recently visited Delhi to meet the respective party supremos.
