Senior BJP leader Vijayashanthi Kamareddy lashed out at the Telangana government’s handling of farmers’ agitation. She said that the Kamareddy incident is a reflection of KCR’s dictatorial tendencies.
“Farmers are calling for the cancellation of Kamareddy master plan and removal of industrial and green zones. Now the curse of the family of Ramulu, a farmer who committed suicide due to the industrial zone, will definitely affect the family of KCR. Industrial zones are being set up in the name of master plans in the crop fields, which are the livelihood of farmers, and the price of those lands is being set up. KCR is conspiring once again to cheat farmers,” Vijayashanti said.
“Farmers are being cheated by being advised on not to harvest two crops. The attitude of the government towards the farmers of Adlur, Kamareddy, Ellareddy, Tekriyal, Ilchipur, and Lingapur villages who are stuck on the road is very bad. It is a shame when 3000 farmers wanted to go to the collectorate to pay tribute to the suicide farmer Ramulu and were stopped. Master plan cancellation must be done. District Collector Jitesh Patil should come out and make a statement on the removal of the industrial zone. It is bad that the police chase away farmers when they raise slogans in large numbers. It is also bad that our BJP state president Sanjay who came to stand by the farmers who have been wronged is arrested. Every time when KCR blocks Sanjay who is fighting for righteousness, we have seen KCR facing negative results. History will repeat itself soon, and the BRS party will face its karma,” she remarked.
