CM held a high-level meeting at Pragati Bhavan on the condition of roads in the state. The damaged roads were ordered to be repaired from time to time. As part of the administrative reform, decentralization and the appointments to be undertaken in the Roads and Buildings Department to improve the quality of work were discussed. He said that measures should be taken to ensure that the roads remain intact forever.
Roads and Buildings Minister Prashant Reddy and Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao participated in this meeting. The CM was briefed on the latest condition of the roads in the respective constituencies and districts. Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar along with Chief Minister’s Office Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments participated.
The CM said that attention should be paid to the condition of roads even in remote villages and said that road accidents can be avoided by repairing the damaged roads from time to time. He clarified that if the roads are damaged due to rains, floods, and various reasons, corrective measures should be taken immediately, and repair works should be given priority.
Recently, the people condemned the MLA of Manakondur, Rasamai Bala Kishan. The roads are in a bad condition and he asked to be told when they would repair them.
