While the state is ablaze with the agitations of TSRTC employees, various employee unions joined their hands in fighting against the Telangana government which is trying to curb the demands of the employees with an iron fist. All the journalist union have also conveyed their support to the striking staff from the last 38 days. Amidst the chaos, an exclusive audio clip of the telephonic conversation between Telangana Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana and an RTC employee found its way into the public sphere. The audio clip has not only revealed the helplessness of the Chairman Allam Narayana who minced words but also intensifying discontent of the employees from the ground level.
In the conversation, Sivakumar, an RTC conductor from Jagityal district questioned the integrity of Allam Naranaya of why he is mum over the issue. Though the latter tried to convince the employee that they are doing their best but couldn’t help as the CM is adamant, Siva Kumar stated that they would soon approach the court against the RTC management and Telangana government for misusing their PF amount. Siva Kumar also said that the RTC authorities didn’t even mind to snub the labour laws by allotting overtime duties for drivers and conductors who worked for 15 to 18 hours at times. The chairman has, however, ended the call saying that he was at a wedding.
