Though there are no major violent attacks, there are a few slight disturbances in Telangana Assembly polls. Kalvakurthi constituency member and former MLA Challa Vamsidhar Reddy was severely injured in a brawl with the BJP leaders. He was attacked by the BJP leaders with stones while he was examining the polling center at Jangareddypalli of Amanagal mandal. However, the BJP leaders deny any physical attack but said they just obstructed him from campaigning against the rules.
But, the eyewitnesses confirmed that Vamsidhar Reddy was injured during the confrontation with the BJP leaders and he was later rushed to NIMS hospital. The police have seized his damaged car.
Apart from this, few disturbances have been reported in some areas. Former MLA Narsareddy of Wargal was kept under house arrest as a safety measure. The tensed situation erupted at Revanth Reddy’s hot segment Kodangal.
The TRS and Congress leaders attacked each other at Mopal mandal of Nizamabad, and Khanapur of Warangal rural where some of the leaders got injured. Reacting on these attacks, T-Congress chief Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TRS and BJP leaders attacked the Kutami members with the fear of defeat and demanded protection.
