With two Rajya Sabha seats getting vacant by April 9, Telangana political circles are rife with speculations that party supremo KCR is likely to send Kavita to Rajya Sabha. However, TRS sources revealed that Kavita is not interested in this proposal. Adding strength to these rumours, the party cadre in Nizamabad too were seen in pitch silence which has been sending the ‘NO’ signals to media.
In a recent revelation, news that KCR is in plans to send Kavita to MLC from Nizamabad constituency is taking some serious rounds in Pragathi Bhavan. On this note, sources close to KCR stated that the TRS supremo has a strong strategy behind choosing his daughter as MLC. These rumours came close on the heels of speculations that minister KTR will be announced as the next Chief Minister but the plans were postponed until the GHMC elections.
Meanwhile, a few of the TRS leaders opined that Kavita will be given a crucial portfolio in KTR’s cabinet post the GHMC elections. It was also speculated that Kavita will be given the IT ministry which gets vacant after KTR takes the CM chair. However, chances are high that oppositions Congress and BJP will gridlock TRS’ plans.
Nizamabad sources have reported that Bhupathi Reddy, who changed the loyalties to Congress, is planning to lead his own group against Kavita. It was also learnt that BJP’s MP Aravind is also framing strategies against KCR’s plan.
