Chief Minister KCR’s birthday was celebrated across the state in a grand manner. TRS fraternity didn’t leave a stone unturned in chanting KCR’s name on the eve. However, TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy posted his birthday wishes on Twitter in a notorious way. He wrote ‘Happy Birthday’ following which he added an emoji of a chameleon (an animal species known for changing colors). TRS members gave quite intense replies to Revanth’s tweet. TRS leader Jeevan Reddy stated that Revanth is the chameleon who switches parties from time to time depending on the opportunity.

Aggravated at Revanth’s tweet, Jeevan Reddy made many more comments. However, one thing he said sparked quite an outrage among everyone. Jeevan urged the government to declare KCR’s birthday as a state festival. “KCR is our God, his birthday is a holiday like Ramadan, Dussehra, Christmas, and so on”, he wrote. Calling KCR the man who brought independence to Telangana, he demanded a holiday on KCR’s birthday.
Citizens of Telangana are quite irked at these comments from the MLA. They responded on Twitter saying that if Jeevan Reddy has that kind of devotion to KCR, he should go ahead and put KCR’s diety and worship personally. They warned him not to link KCR’s birthday to religious festivals like Dussehra, Ramadan, and Christmas. On top of that, KCR is not the only person who made the separate state formation dream possible, thousands of people of Telangana sacrificed their lives to attain the state formation.
Unemployed and farmers, however, are deeply outraged by Jeevan Reddy’s remarks. “No jobs or support for the people, but how could you think of celebrating a birthday? Did KCR care about the unemployed who are becoming a burden to their families? Should his birthday be celebrated because it has caused so many unemployment suicides?” Jeevan Reddy is being questioned.
