While many of the OTT releases of the most-anticipated movies are turning out to be a major disappointment, Keerthy Suresh’s recent release ‘Miss India’ joined the club-going by the reviews on media. Fizzled out Keerthy’s fans in no time rushed to the social media to vent out their dismay while the team didn’t bother to nullify it with proper promotions.
In what can be called yet another burden for the team, reports claiming that the main storyline of the film is copied from the life of a US-based entrepreneur surface online. Going by the plot, Keerthy played a middle-class woman who aced all odds to raise her chai business line in the US.
In contrary with the makers’ claim that the film is pure fiction, the film clearly mirrored the business story of Brook Eddy, an American entrepreneur who founded ‘Bhakti Chai’ in 2017 after travelling around North India for the best taste of Indian chai. The business reportedly raised to fame in less time bringing home $35 Million by the end of 2018.
If this is believed to be true, Team ‘Miss India’ would soon land in trouble unless the claim the source of their story.
