Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has hinted that they would consider opening pubs in the state. In an exclusive interview with a weekly program called ‘Naam Munoottu’, the senior leader spilled the beans which have come as the Kerala youth, especially for the IT workforce. In a 30-min-long interview, Vijayan has confronted that his government has been receiving complaints regarding the lack of pubs in the state as the increasing MNCs with passing days.
“We are facing sharp criticism for having very fewer options unwind after tiring week-long work. Our government is on a serious note of looking into the issue,” he stated. Vijayan also stated that they are planning to increase the facilities in Kerala Beverages Corporation (Bevco) outlets and setting up new liquor boutiques with international standards. With the increasing MNC’s in the God’s own country, the count of IT professionals increased exponentially from the past two years, which increased the demand for revamping the liquor policy in the state. The interview also talked about law & order in the state, justice to poor and social media.
