Cabinet minister Mahadev Jankar hints actor Sanjay Dutt’s re-entry
If the reports from Rashtriya Samaj Paksh (RSP) are to be believed, the ‘Khalnayak’ is all set for his political re-entry after 10 years. RSP President and state cabinet minister Mahadev Jankar made this statement while addressing party workers at Shivaji Park on the occasion of the party’s 17th foundation day program. He also disclosed that Dutt, 60, is to join the party on September 25. On this note, Jankar played a pre-recorded video of the actor in which Dutt describes Jankar as a brother and a friend, and congratulates him on the foundation day of the party. RSP is one of the smaller allies in the BJP-led state and central government since 2014.
However, Dutt denied these statements made by Jankar. He issued a statement this afternoon denying his re-entry into politics. “I will not be joining any political party. Mr Jankar is a dear friend and brother of mine and I humbly wish him good luck for his future endeavours,” read the statement.
