Concerns continue to be raised across the country against the Agneepath scheme. The youth in the state created quite a commotion at the Secunderabad railway station. Government and public property were destroyed in the protest against the Center. TJS President Kodandaram responded to the order.
Kodandaram said the reason for the roadblocks of youths across the country was not the policy followed by the Center. He explained that the Center had changed its approach to Army recruitment and introduced the Agneepath scheme for four years. Only 25 percent of those selected after four years will continue.
Kodandaram explained that this method is not correct. He stated that the young people are confused about what to do after four years and that many young men and women were preparing for army jobs. He added that the outrages were coming out as their results were pending.
He further mentioned that such conditions are not good for the country in the situation when the pressure on the border with neighboring countries is only shooting up, and the temporary methods in the Army are not correct. He demanded the Center withdraw the decision immediately by all means.
