For the last twenty-four hours, if there is anything the whole Telangana state is talking about, it has to be Prime Minister Modi’s remarks on state partition. PM’s comments on the process have provoked immense outrage on all forms of media amongst the citizens of the state and the political fraternity, especially TRS. Although he made it clear that he is not against Telangana, the aggravated TRS lashed out at the PM, and IT minister KTR called out for state-wide protests against the Prime Minister, and the center as a whole.
Taking offense to PM’s remarks, KTR urged the party members to hold protests in constituencies and districts on Wednesday. They called for these protests to be carried out with black flags. With this, the TRS leaders and believers are planning on preparing for the same.
It all started when Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the Rajya Sabha, thanking the President for his speech. He criticized the congress party by making some key remarks on the partition of joint Andhra Pradesh. Modi added that so many problems would have been easily avoided if the Congress party had done the partition process in a careful manner.
The Prime Minister primarily made it clear that he is absolutely not against the separation of states but alleged the Congress party of doing it in a hurried manner just for political gains. “The method followed for partition is incorrect”, he said. To these remarks, both the Congress and TRS leaders were quite incensed.
