Minister KTR made key comments on the Governor’s system. He said that Raj Bhavan should be avoided as an obstacle to politics. He made comments that people in constitutional positions are talking about politics. He lashed out at the Prime Minister for putting his own photos in the Raj Bhavan.
KTR mentioned that Modi when he was the CM of Gujarat, said that those who are in politics should not be given the post of governor. He questioned whether the governor was playing politics because of who he elected. He said that the Rajpath which existed during the British period was changed to Kartavya Path, and the Governor system was put in place by the British. He questioned why such a system exists.
He asked what is the use of the governor system for the country. He said that the Center has not fulfilled the promises made in the Partition Act. He said that they have given promises to divide the constituencies and have forgotten. He said that the current budget is the last budget of the BJP. He said that a baseless budget was introduced in 2014 and this is the last chance to fulfill the promises given.
He said that Telangana was not given a railway line. He flagged that even the assigned tasks were not completed. He said that the Center had given assurances about the establishment of Kazipet Railway Coach, Bayyaram Steel, and educational institutions, but they had been ignored.
He said that the railway line laid in the state in eight years is less than 100 km.
THe went on to complain that only a new train was given for Lingampally-Vijayawada and nothing else was given. He challenged that he was ready for any punishment if what he said was proved to be false. Four BJP MPs want to try to allocate funds for railway lines in this budget.
