They are angry at the politicians for the unfulfilled promises and fake assurances. Recently Minister KTR had a bitter experience. Some youths tried to block the ministerial convoy in the Mustabad zone center of Siricilla district. They chanted ‘KTR down down’.
Vigilant police detained the protesters. They were arrested and taken to PS. The youths tried to block KTR at the event as he failed to fulfill the promises made during the election campaign such as setting up a mini-stadium, a degree college, and a 30-bed hospital.
The same thing happened during the Khammam tour on the 11th of this month. PDSU student body leaders looked to block the KTR convoy. The protesters were taken to the police station by the police, which were forcibly detained by the protesters.
KTR, who had earlier gone to Jagittala District Metpalli just the day before was hit by a rally from the protestors. He saw a farmer throwing sandals at the top of the convoy. The police intercepted the farmer. Preliminary arrests are continuously happening no matter where KTR goes in the district. However, opposition leaders, student leaders, and farmers continue to protest.
