Many things are coming out of the Jubilee Hills Pub event. A week after the incident, many suspicions that it came to the limelight quite late. According to the complaint of the girl’s parents, the police have registered a case under Section 354 of the IPC, Pox Act and several persons have been arrested. Five suspects were identified as minors at the trial.
On May 28, a 17-year-old girl had a party with friends at a pub in Jubilee Hills. She came out of the pub at around 5 pm and was forcibly taken away in a car by some people. She told the police that she was left near the pub at around 7 pm on the same day. She was angry that they tried to sexually advance against her in the car.
It is learned that three of the accused have been taken into custody but their identity is yet to be ascertained. There is propaganda that an MLA’s son is involved in it about whom no one is daring to talk. It is learned that the son of the chairman of the waqf board was also among the three arrested by the police.
Minister KTR on the other hand responded to the incident. He said it was the most heinous of the incidents that took place. Home Minister Mahmood Ali urged the DGP and CP to take immediate action, adding that no matter who is involved in the issue, they shouldn’t be let go. Responding to KTR’s tweet, Mahmood Ali said that all the accused would be arrested as soon as possible. Opposition groups demanded the home minister resign believing that his grandson was involved in the incident. The accused stated that one must know the facts to comment. He also added that he was in the Minister’s quarters that day.
