‘TRS Working President and minister K.T.Rama Rao would soon assume the office as the next Chief Minister of Telangana’. Despite the fact that this has been news lingering in the Pragati Bhavan corridors from quite some time, there is no official confirmation while Chief Minister KCR continued to govern from his farmhouse from the past few months.
While a few TRS ministers openly agreed to the fact that KTR is a de facto chief minister of Telangana, the Kalvakuntla scion in recent times grabbed media attention addressing certain crucial meetings like never before.
Though KCR at the starting phase of pandemic impressed all with constant media meeting and frequent review meetings, a volley of allegations over underreporting cases, deliberate dip in testings, wrath from medical community seem to force KCR to stay off the media glare.
Amidst which KCR’s mysterious absence at the Pragati Bhavan exactly for 14 days which also happens to be the mandatory quarantine period forced his son KTR to take over the responsibilities undercover. The young politician was also seen presiding over the high-level ministerial meetings instead of his father sending soon-to-be-CM signals to the political circles.
KTR also headed a marathon eight-hour meeting of the council of ministers with a specific agenda and in the presence of all the officials. On the other hand, it is reported that KCR has once again shifted to his farmhouse on August 10 from Pragati Bhavan.
Going by the speculation in the TRS circles, KCR would soon take the baton from his father and chief minister while the party cadre already started pleasing the leader at various meetings held recently.
