Officials at the family counselling centre in Uttar Pradesh were puzzled with a couple who sought divorce. A Meerut resident wanted to end his 10-year-old marriage as his wife who was giving him only ‘laddoos’ to eat under the influence of a tantrik.
A man approached the family court where he said that his wife fed him only 8 laddoos a day, four in the morning and four in the evening. He added that his wife was acting under the instructions of a Tantrik and did not allow him to eat anything else between meals.
The man is reported to be suffering from a couple of health issues after which her wife visited a tantrik who suggested her to feed her husband only laddoos. “We can not treat the woman for being superstitious. It is quite shocking how firmly she believes that the laddoos will cure her husband,” said a counsellor.
