In a shocking video that surfaced online, hundreds of unidentified persons assaulted a female TikToker and her companions at Lahore, Pakistan. The incident took place on Independence Day on August 14. Hours after which the victim lodged a complaint with the Lari Adda police station that she was filming a video near Minar-e-Pakistan.
As per the FIR lodged, the complainant stated that she, along with her six companions, was filming a video when around 300 to 400 people attacked them. She said that she and her companions made a lot of effort to escape from the crowd but couldn’t.
She alleged that the mob picked her up and started tossing her in the air. “I was stripped and my clothes were torn apart,” she stated. She also alleged that her gold ornaments, cash, and mobile phone were also snatched by the mob.
The FIR was registered under Sections 354 A (assault or use of criminal force against woman and stripping her of her clothes), 382 (theft after preparation made for causing death, hurt, or restraint in order to commit the theft), 147 (rioting) and 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
