Bursting a business of high-profile extortion in Mumbai, Mumbai Crime Branch on Friday arrested three people including a Model-turned-TV actress. While the racket is being run in a three-star hotel in Juhu, the actress reportedly sends photos of wealthy and influential people with a deal of Rs 1 lakh per hour.
As per police records, the officers of Unit 7 had received a tip that the actress was involved in the trade and she provided the actress and model to the customer. Upon which, the police sent a customer as a part of an undercover operation who contacted the actress.
The actress called the undercover customer to a three-star hotel in Juhu where she was waiting with two other women. While the Crime Branch officials already laid a trap, they arrested the three women and informed them that they will be sent to Mankhurd’s remand home after further investigation.
