Hyderabad: The Chief Ministers of the Telugu states Jagan and KCR held on a meeting at Pragati Bhavan at the latter’s official residence in Hyderabad on Monday. Linking of Godavari and Krishna rivers with the least possible land acquisition was accepted as per the official press release from Telangana Chief Minister’s Office. After postponing the meet for almost 8-9 hours due to his chopper mishap, Jagan has reached to Pragati Bhavan after which the two leaders had a lengthy secluded discussion. They decided to adopt a give-and-take approach on common issues of both the states. KCR has already hinted in the Assembly sessions that the bureaucrats and engineers of the state had prepared a report on the proposals for linking of Godavari and Krishna rivers. And Jagan has also stated many a time that he would work on water shortage problem in Rayalaseema.
Apparently, the leaders have also discussed post bifurcation issues like government staff division, outstanding dues in various departments and training of the police recruitees. These cordial meetings between the CMs of both the Telugu states have sent a message that they have also discussed the strategy to look horns with Modi-Shah duo which has become a major threat for KCR in Telangana.
