While Bollywood is revving with a row of Telugu remakes, ‘Bhaagamathie’ which stole the hearts of cinephiles has recently joined the club. Known for her performances in the thriller genre films, Anushka grabbed the tabloids yet again with her gripping performance all through the film. And guess who is roped in to reprise the challenging role portrayed by Anuskha?
Grapevine has it that Bhumi Pednekar, the actress who impressed the critics with her award-winning performance in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ is teaming up with director Ashok for the remake. While Ashok is now busy with his web-series ‘Nasha’ starring Hansika and Mahesh Babu’s sister Manjula, he was approached with the offer of remaking the challenging movie. After shedding down some serious weight, Bhumi drew the attention of Bollywood with a series of appearances in award shows and photoshoots. Quite busy with the promotions of her film ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ alongside Tapsee Pannu, Bhumi would soon join the team. The title, cast and crew of the project are yet to be announced.
