Recording another lowest number in the past few months, India on Tuesday logged 38,310 new COVID19 infections in the last 24 hours taking the total cases to 82,67,623. According to the Union health ministry’s data updated on Tuesday, death toll mounts to 1,23,097 with 490 new deaths from Monday morning.

Total active cases are 5,41,405 after a decrease of 20,503 in the last 24 hours while the total cured cases are 76,03,121 with 58,323 new discharges in the last 24 hours. Total 11,17,89,350 samples tested for Covid-19 up to 2nd November. Of these, 10,46,247 samples were tested yesterday, confirmed ICMR.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh reported less than 2,000 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday. While 64,581 samples were tested in the 24 hours ending Monday at 9 am, 1,916 cases came out positive. 13 more patients succumbed to the coronavirus taking the toll to 6,719.
Telangana, on the other hand, recorded 1,536 fresh coronavirus cases taking the total infection count to2.42 lakh while three related deaths pushed the toll to 1,351. The recovery rate in Telangana was 92.12 per cent.
