It came as a major shock to the nation which ended up their Friday with the news that Uddhav Thackeray. In an overnight twist, BJP leader and former Chief Minister Devendra Devendra Fadnavis have taken oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra which left the nation in splits. In an official ceremony held at Raj Bhavan on Saturday, Devendra assumed the office as Chief Minister while Ajit Pawar, of the National Congress Party, took the oath as deputy CM.

Post the swearing ceremony, Devendra made shocking revelations stating that the Ajit Pawar of NCP himself approached him and other leaders. “We want a strong and stable government rather a “khichdi” government,” he added. This came as a jolt to the ‘Maha’ coalition which finally declared Uddhav as CM for a full five-year term. Reacting to the developments, NCP chief Sharad Pawar tweeted, “Ajit Pawar’s decision to support the BJP to form the Maharashtra Government is his personal decision and not that of the Nationalist Congress Party. We place on record that we do not support or endorse this decision of his.” This tweet from Pawar added fuel to the fire. On this note, social media flooded with congratulatory messages for the new CM.
